package pals!

i am not even sure where i came upon this but i signed up for something called March Package Pal hosted by C.R.A.F.T. and Stars and Sunshine. by throwing my name in the hat, i was paired up with the awesome Joselyn in portland, oregon.
 we told each other a bit about ourselves and then off we went to put together a package for our pal (see what they did there?). well, we just exchanged them. what fun!
this is what i sent to joselyn...she sews, knits and wanted some wall art. so i packed up some paints, fabrics, a set of stitch markers that i made and some mixed metal elliements in the back of a floating blank canvas. one big pink gerbera daisy for good measure! it was so much fun and so odd picking things for someone whom i don't know well.

well, very lucky me just got mine today and look what gems i received! i had told her that i wanted to live in the pacific northwest so she journeyed around and got me some really cool stuff from her favorite flavors of her city! yarn from yarnia (how's that for a great yarn store name?) where she choose fibers (the great colors don't show up in my cloudy afternoon photos) and had this cone made especially for me. can't wait to get my needles busy with this! she also included fantastic little soap truffles in the beautiful box and two bows that she made with her own for me and one for my pup! in the package was a great letter from her written on some stationery from yellow owl workshop which i have always loved and haven't gotten yet. i think i might have to make something from the great letter too! thanks so much, joselyn. you rock! this was so much fun!
