black hole

before my beloved aunt passed, she would tell me that she couldn't see her cat. my aunt would say that with all of her vision problems, she should never have adopted a black cat. i knew that my aunt must be exaggerating and chuckled every time she mentioned the cat who couldn't be seen.

upon my aunt's passing, i adopted her cat. what my husband and i quickly learned is that this cat is invisible. she is not completely black, having  little orange and white bits here and there. but she blends into everything...including white. it is like there is the space of a cat but not actually a cat there.

she is the sweetest cat who simply oozes love and peace. i am so grateful to have her in my life because she also reminds me of my seriously awesome aunt. this photo is not a shadow or the way the light hit her. she is just magically invisible.
