photo a day...life finds a way

 

somewhere in the movie jurassic park, there was a line that moved me so much that i think of it often...life finds a way. i see it so often.  my sister showed me this tree in greensboro. the entire base is hollowed out...who knows why...termites, disease, trolls. but it is hollow, as in you could climb in there. and yet, this very large tree is 

very much alive.

sometimes in the most stunning ways,

this is jerry...i met him in greensboro. what a hoot. asked him how he was and told me that he woke up on the right side of the grass that morning! i commented on his tshirt and he brought me an issue of a magazine. he has two little solar batteries on his hat charging his two brain cells. said some of his friends say that he is overestimating the number of brain cells he has. he said his wife won't go out with him when he is wearing one of his 40 some hats...and that she doesn't get out much!
