fleeting moment of color perfection

you know those moments in life when you experience something that you wish you could have forever but even as you are in the moment, you see it change and disappear? this is a print of a pencil sketch. the colors that fall and arc perfectly across the bridge are a prism effect from the afternoon sun and a glass table top. wow! i love it and am thrilled that i saw it. like a little gift.

lately, i have been feeling like my eyes have seen the same thing far too many times. there are days that just feel like missed opportunity to see something new. to experience something new.

and then, without going anywhere new, i am reminded that each moment is new. each moment is a different experience.

art every day...i m p e r f e c t

the reason that i chose to do art every day was because i want to uncover the artist in me. find my own style. practice and get better.

well, in doing so (yes, i am saying this in just 4 short days), i realize that i am perfectly imperfect. i am working on letting go of being 'good' so that i will get better.

hence the i m p e r f e c t sketch of the day. read it anyway you want.

and i have to confess, i miss my camera. expect some photos very soon!
